Can Ogden Custom Homes build a new home on a lot I own?
We can build on your lot or purchase an available lot, whichever better suits you.. We will council with you on lot size, setbacks, building restrictions and codes, and architectural guidelines prior to the start of the design process.

What is the first step after choosing a lot?
We will meet with one of our architects to begin putting your thoughts on paper. A plan sketch eventually evolves into a scaled floorplan of your dream home.

How can I see the finished quality of a Ogden Custom Home?
We usually have a speculative home available, and many of our homeowners welcome the opportunity to show their home by appointment.

Is Ogden Custom Homes a financially stable homebuilder?
We can refer you to our many suppliers for credit references, as well as our lenders that will be happy to validate our financial strength in the community.

What about insurance during the construction process?
Ogden Custom Homes always carries full general liability and builder risk insurance on every home we build. We also insist that our subcontractors carry their own liability insurance when they work for us.

Is Ogden Custom Homes registered with the State of Texas?
We are registered with the Texas Residential Construction Commission (TRCC), and are active members of the National Association of Homebuilders, the Homebuilders Association of Greater Dallas, and Chris Ogden is recognized as a Certified Graduate Builder.

Am I responsible for noting any construction variances or changes? Is someone there to help me?
We oversee every project on a daily basis. You can be as involved as you want to be so you are comfortable with the process. Our goal is your satisfaction. Remember, new custom home construction will take months to complete, and we strive for a good working relationship throughout this process. Your new home is a Custom Home, and changes are a part of our business. We will work with you to accommodate your needs along the way.

What about construction inspections?
Ogden Custom Homes has a third party inspector on every new home that provides with an impartial report at the foundation, framing, energy, and final stages of construction. These reports are shared with you to keep you informed of the quality of construction

Does Ogden Custom Homes provide a new home warranty?
We provide a one year warranty on latent defects in workmanship and material, a two year warranty on the mechanical equipment, a manufacturers warranty on equipment, and a ten year structural warranty, all of which are defined during the construction process.
